Samuel Perry is a clinical herbalist offering in depth consultations by appointment Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Sam’s specialty is close attention and he works with each individual client to discover their own specific path to balance.  An initial visit generally lasts between 1 ½ and 2 hours and after careful differential evaluation a unique protocol is created.  Sam offers herbal teas and tinctures as well as flower essences. Dietary recommendations, breathing exercises, and gentle aware movement practices are often included in protocols.  Sam works with all manner of ailments and challenges.

In addition to clinical work, Sam leads a plant and mushroom walk series in Prospect Park in collaboration with Sacred Warrior (http://sacredwarrior.co/developing-relationship/). Sam delights in helping people learn to recognize and enjoy the huge diversity of medicinal plants and mushrooms that share our communities. Plant walks train our attention to detail and deepen our intimacy with the natural world.

Sam also represents the medicinal herb farm RavenCrest Botanicals (http://ravencrest.myshopify.com/pages/about-us) at the Saturday farmer’s market in the Lower East Side’s Seward Park.

He is a proud alumni of the Arbor Vitae School of Traditional Herbalism’s (http://arborvitaeny.com/) 3 year Professional program and now works for the school as a Teaching Assistant.
