We will use guided meditation to uncover the unique ways stress manifests in our physical bodies and explore the plants that can reduce tension, promote tranquility, and ease the mind. We will sample herbal teas, make stress-busting nut and date truffles, and discuss nutritional and lifestyle strategies that can increase our resilience to life’s stressors.
Carly Wertheim is a culinary nutrition educator and health-supportive chef. A life-long food and wellness enthusiast, Carly brings her wealth of nutrition knowledge to the kitchen, where she guides her clients to create health-supportive meals that nourish the body, mind, and spirit. Marina Buksov, a.k.a. Dr. Marina Book, is a registered Doctor of Pharmacy, Health Coach/Nutritionist, and lifelong learner of the healing arts. She is currently studying at Arbor Vitae Traditional School of Herbalism in New York, and also learning functional nutrition under Andrea Nakayama. Marina hopes to use her pharmacy knowledge in an integrative approach to healing a person holistically, using the least invasive and most natural means possible; customized for individual needs and to achieve a state of balanced well-being.
