This class takes a unique approach to vocal expression, healing and transformation. It is designed to help participants release inhibitions to vocal expression and creativity and express ourselves through our voices. Judy Gorman, singer/ former, teacher shares her findings from our human her-story and inspires you to find / advance your calling. Emma Rose, clinical herbalist shares how we can use herbs and other methods to clear blockages in the throat chakra. Inspiring and practical, this class will leave you feeling fed and curious to explore more on your own. We welcome both new and experienced: speakers, educators, musicians, singers, herb enthusiasts, mentors, healers, parents, and everyone called to this work.A portion of the proceeds will go towards the Greenwich House Music School Scholarship Fund.
Judy Gorman has performed in concert for the United Nations, at festivals, universities, concert halls, clubs, peace and environmental events in over ten countries and forty-nine of these United States. Throughout the U.S. and other countries, Judy has lectured/ led workshops on “The Multi-cultural History of Women and Music and All of Us Finding Our Own Voice.” Judy has earned her BA in literature/art history from Hunter/Brooklyn College of CCNY, and Masters of Arts in Teaching from Antioch College. She taught English and created Language Arts Middle School curricula organized in multi-cultural thematic units. She taught English and History in NYC DoE GED programs.
Emma Rose is a clinical herbalist and certified End of Life Doula. She is a dedicated student and teacher of the healing arts. Emma gained certifications in herbal education from the New York Open Center and Arbor Vitae School of Traditional Herbalism. She apprenticed with master herbalist and flower essence practitioner Julia Graves. She has a BA in Gender & Sexuality Studies, International Development and Philosophy from Tulane University of New Orleans, LA. She offers her service through herbal consultations at Radicle Herb Shop.
